Program Note:

Balisong was inspired by the knife flipping hobby that I got into during high school. I wanted this to be a culmination of my time playing and writing jazz for my school's final jazz concert in May of 2020. Obviously this never came to fruition due to the Covid Pandemic, but it was the germinating start of the Canasta EP, which I continued writing through the summer.
